Committed Faithfulness of Mother AngelicaDeep and Constant Faith in the Lord
“Lord, I gotta have one of these.” These were the words of Mother Angelica in the 70’s while walking into a television studio for the first time. The dream began. And because of the committed faithfulness of Mother Angelica, the Eternal World Television Network (EWTN) was launched on August 15, 1981. EWTN Global Catholic Network is now beamed into more than 264 million homes worldwide. Not bad for a cloistered nun.

“Faith is one foot on the ground, one foot in the air, and a queasy feeling in the stomach.”          — Mother Angelica

Mother Angelica passed away at age 92 on Easter Sunday. We revisit her 1984 appearance on 60 Minutes, as well has an interview on her own network. The stories about this riveting follower of Jesus are bubbling up from all over the world. The authenticity and insights of Mother Angelica has inspired millions to a closer relationship with Christ. She was never afraid to pursue God’s will no matter what it was.

“We need to be attuned to the Will of God so that we only ask for the things He desires, then you will get all you ask.”      — Mother Angelica

  1. One thing I didn’t realize that Mother had suffered so long from the effects of the stroke for 15 years. I agree with Heidi, Phillip..you very much have a gift. You allow us to see all of the possibilities of healing, Jesus, the Holy Spirit through you, even though you are the one with impaired vision. I pray for God to restore your sight Philip and I love all your podcasts. The glimpse you give us into Dr. Nemeh’s healing spiritual world with Jesus has changed me in profound ways.

  2. Philip Keller, you have a gift much like Mother Angelica. You make faith exciting and show us God is powerful, funny and always knows what is best for us. Teresa Patrick’s story will help so many people who are suffering remember God loves them and will lift them up. What a story of strength and hope. Beth did a great job!
